For us, sustainability belongs in the same conversation as fit, fabric and the way a piece is used. We want to make swimwear that people enjoy wearing and reach for again.
Salty Johnson comes from Bondi's swimming and beach community. That connection to the water shapes the prints we design, the materials we choose and the way we keep working on the range.
Start with the material
Our swimwear uses REPREVE®, a certified recycled performance fibre produced by Unifi. Post consumer plastic bottles are transformed into performance polyester, and each Salty Johnson swimwear garment uses approximately 11 recycled plastic bottles.
REPREVE® uses FiberPrint® technology, a tracer embedded in the yarn, to help verify recycled content through the supply chain. You can learn more at repreve.com.

We are an Australian brand designed in Bondi. We are still learning, refining the range and working out what to do better. That is a more useful promise than pretending everything is perfect.
