There’s a reason so many Australians are in love with swimming as their favourite exercise routine. A swimming training program is low impact, can be enjoyed in the Pool or the Ocean, at any age, it builds both cardiovascular fitness and endurance, and all you need to get started are a good pair of swimmers (SJ’s) and Goggles. We have been Swimmers since we were tiny, competitively Swimming through School, Club competing at a National level. This journey then led us to Coaching Squads and passing on our knowledge to the up and comers.

It can be tough to know what to do or how long to swim to get a good workout. Salty Johnson cares deeply about this sport, and we’ve developed a routine that will meet you where your level is currently at. If you’re just starting out or getting back into the pool and looking for a swim workout for beginners, try the beginner program that will help you build up strength and develop a good feel for the water. For those who regularly swim for fitness, Salty’s intermediate swim sets seeks to challenge you and introduce new drills to shake things up. If you’re a serious swimmer, have been in a past life, up for a CHALLENGE or need a swim workout for a triathlon, competition or ocean race, then look to our advanced swim workouts to build speed and endurance. Intermediate and advanced swim workouts would benefit from some swim gear to kick things up a notch. Every swim training program includes a warm up, main set and cool down.
Some of us do a Swim workout for the Gains, some of us do it for their Mental Health, some of us do it to cross train because they love being in the Water. What’s your why? Hopefully there’s an Ocean or a pool near YOU and are able to get some value of this programming.
