Salty Johnson is a sustainable swimwear brand born on the shores of Bondi Beach, Sydney. We make bold, performance driven swimwear for men and women who live in, on and around the water, and who give a damn about what happens to it.
Distinctive prints, clear fit advice and more reasons to get in the water. That is the Salty approach.

Tom Johnson, founder, lifelong swimmer and Bondi local, started Salty Johnson after years of watching single use plastic wash up on the beaches he had been swimming since childhood.
Recycled performance fabric already existed, with the strength, chlorine resistance and durability serious swimmers need. There was no reason not to build a swimwear brand around it.
Salty Johnson launched from a desk in Bondi. Since then, the community has grown around swimmers, surfers and saltwater addicts who want their gear to match their values.

Men's swim briefs and board shorts. Women's one piece swimsuits and bikini sets. Matching prints for people who want to share the same look.
Original prints are designed in Bondi with Australian conditions in mind. Our swimwear combines UPF 50+ sun protection with chlorine resistant fabric built for repeat swim sessions.
What goes into it
Recycled performance fabric.
Every piece in our swimwear range is made from REPREVE® recycled performance fabric. It is certified, traceable and built from approximately 11 recycled plastic bottles per garment.
The material claim is supported by REPREVE's FiberPrint® traceability technology. Product construction varies by style, so check the individual product notes for composition, lining, fit and care.

The brand is built around pool sessions, ocean swims and the people who keep turning up for both. Salty Sundays is our free weekly run, swim and coffee in North Bondi. Come on your own or bring a mate.
We want to make swimwear that is better for the people wearing it and better for the water they wear it in. As we grow, we are committed to using more certified materials, reducing packaging waste and supporting ocean conservation efforts in Australia.
