What is Salty Johnson swimwear made from?
All Salty Johnson swimwear is made from REPREVE® recycled polyester — a certified performance fibre made from post-consumer plastic bottles. Each garment uses approximately 11 recycled plastic bottles, verified through REPREVE's FiberPrint® traceability technology. Bikinis and one-pieces are 81% recycled polyester and 19% spandex.
Is the recycled fabric claim verified?
Yes. REPREVE® uses FiberPrint® — a molecular tracer embedded in the yarn at manufacturing that allows independent third-party verification of recycled content. You can verify REPREVE® certification at repreve.com.
Is Salty Johnson swimwear UPF rated?
Yes. All Salty Johnson swimwear is rated UPF50+ — the highest available sun protection rating — blocking over 98% of UV radiation through the covered areas.
Is the swimwear chlorine resistant?
Yes. REPREVE® recycled polyester is highly chlorine-resistant. Our swimwear is built for regular pool use — colour and fabric structure hold through repeated chlorine exposure far better than standard polyester or nylon alternatives.
Bikinis and mix-and-match sizing
Can I order a different size top and bottom?
Yes. Every Salty Johnson bikini set can be ordered with a different size top and bottom — nine size combinations per print, all at the same $139.95 price. Choose your top size and your bottom size at checkout. There is no surcharge for mixing sizes.
Do mixed sizes ship together?
Yes. One order, one satchel, one tracking number.
What sizes do the bikinis come in?
Tops and bottoms are each available in S (AU 6–8), M (AU 10) and L (AU 12–14), and can be combined in any pairing.
Which bikini is best for swimming laps?
Blue Coral is the most secure style for lap swimming because it uses fixed shoulder straps and a tie back rather than a string triangle, so it does not need re-tying between swims.
Do the prints match across pieces?
Yes. Same print, same dye lot within a production run. Tops and bottoms bought at the same time will match.
Sizing and fit
How do I find my size?
Men's swim briefs and board shorts are sized by waist measurement. Women's one-pieces and bikinis are sized S, M and L, covering Australian sizes 6 to 14. A full size guide with measurements is on every product page. If you are between sizes, size up for comfort or size down for a performance fit.
Do your swim briefs have a liner?
Yes. All Salty Johnson men's swim briefs include a full front liner for comfort and modesty, made from the same REPREVE® recycled fabric as the outer shell.
Do your women's one-pieces have removable padding?
Yes. All Salty Johnson women's one-piece swimsuits include removable padding as standard across the entire range.
Shipping and delivery
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Free standard shipping on all Australian orders over $150. Standard shipping is $8.99 for orders under $150 (3–7 business days). Express shipping is $11.99 (1–3 business days) Australia-wide.
Do you ship internationally?
International shipping is available to selected destinations. Rates and delivery times are calculated at checkout.
How do I track my order?
A tracking link is included in your shipping confirmation email. Orders are dispatched from Sydney within 1–2 business days of placement.
Returns and exchanges
What is your returns policy?
Eligible items can be returned for a refund or size exchange within 30 days of delivery. Contact us within the 30-day period and, once your return is approved, post it within 7 days.
For a change-of-mind return, the item must be unworn, unwashed and unused, with all original tags and any hygiene sticker or protective liner intact. Swimwear must be tried on over your own underwear and be free from marks, makeup, deodorant, perfume, odours, pet hair or other signs of wear.
Full-price and promotional-sale items are eligible unless they were clearly marked “Final Sale” before purchase. Final Sale restrictions do not affect your rights for faulty, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed products.
Customers pay change-of-mind return postage, and original delivery charges are not refundable. Read our full Returns, Exchanges and Refunds Policy for all conditions.
Can I return one piece of a bikini set and keep the other?
A bikini sold as a set must be returned as a complete set. Bikini separates may be returned individually when they were purchased and priced separately. If the fit is not right, email salty@saltyjohnson.com.au with your order number and the size combination you need.
Can I exchange for a different size?
Yes, subject to availability. For Australian orders, you are responsible for sending the original item back to us and Salty Johnson will cover standard delivery of the first replacement size. If your requested size is unavailable, we will offer a refund to the original payment method or store credit if you prefer.
What if my item is faulty, damaged or incorrect?
Email salty@saltyjohnson.com.au with your order number and details of the problem. Our 30-day change-of-mind conditions do not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. When a product is confirmed to have a problem, we will provide an appropriate remedy and reimburse reasonable return-postage costs as required by law.
Do you accept international returns?
Yes. Eligible international change-of-mind returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery. International customers are responsible for return postage, tracking, customs charges and any replacement-delivery costs. See the full policy for details.
Care
How do I care for recycled swimwear?
Rinse in cold fresh water after every wear, especially after chlorine. Hand wash cold with no bleach and no fabric softener. Dry flat in the shade and never tumble dry. Avoid sitting directly on rough concrete or pool edges, which abrades the fabric surface.
